John

Director

John has over 18 years of experience in the Military & commercial UXO industry. He also served on the Royal Navy bomb disposal team based in Portsmouth and participated in several NATO mine exercises as a Mine clearance diver. John is also a member of the Institute of explosive engineers.

He has worked in various countries such as: Libya, Iraq, Nigeria, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, China and land/sea-based operations in the UK.  John has also worked in the North Sea as a UXO ROV supervisor. 

Karl

Director

Karl has over 20 years of experience in the UXO/EOD industry.  Having served in the Royal navy as a mine clearance diver to then using clearance skills worldwide in places like Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Russia and the UK.

A lot of Karl’s work has involved UXO clearance/demolition for the wind farm industry.  Karl is a member of the institute of explosive engineers, has an NVQ in munition handling and disposal.  Karl is also a CITB site safety supervisor.  

Karl has also worked as a diving supervisor on large marine projects.  He is motivated and driven to deliver solutions to the construction/marine industry with UXO mitigation, detection and demolition 

Carl Jackson

Carl

Health & Safety Advisor
Carl has over 12 years in the offshore oil and gas, renewable energy, shipping, civil engineering, hyperbaric treatment and UXO industries including roles as a saturation diver, diver medic, 3.2u inspection diver, hyperbaric technician, assistant life support technician, rov operator, health and safety advisor/officer and health and safety representative.
Carl has a bachelor of science degree, IOSH membership and holds a NEBOSH national general certificate in occupational health and safety. He is well qualified and experienced to assist with any matters concerning health and safety.

Tommy

Research Analyst

Tommy retired as a sergeant in 1993 after 28 years in the police force. The last 11 years being involved in IT & communications. He then became the health & safety representative for UNISON and was also on the examination board NEAB and worked in publications for 16 years. Tommy brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to his role in UXO GROUNDWORKS as research analyst.
